Why 'Haru'?

Haru ζ˜₯ means spring. In my brief 1-2 years learning Japanese, I always found nature kanji to be especially beautiful. Besides conveniently matching the cherry blossom aesthetic of the website, it also signifies the passing of seasons of my life, of turning a new leaf and not living on my depression auto-pilot anymore.

I was originally gonna name this website after the character Haruka ζ˜₯香 (with the combined kanji 'spring' and 'aroma') from the yuri Sakura Trick, and I was gonna make a pun out of the name ~ Haruka-fΓ©, but I thought it was a bit awkward so I shortened it to just Haru to make it more elegant.

Speaking of yuri, did you know the word itself 'yuri' η™Ύεˆ refers to a lily? White lilies, specifically, are a code for lesbians and also purity. So with the yuri theme of the website, everything ties back together with the topic of flowers.

Website under construction, sorry!
